The Wiring Mart was established in 1976, when Al Sullivan, a self employed master electrician along with his sons Glenn and Alvin Jr. opened their small East York shop for sales of electrical products to businesses, contractors and the general public.
May of 1978, the company moved to a larger location at 53 Bertrand Avenue in Scarborough where a 2,500 square foot unit was leased.
April of 1984, a second location was established in Ajax where a 4,000 foot unit was leased.
July of 1985, a 600 square foot addition was added to the Scarborough location.
February of 1988, The Scarborough Location acquired an additional 2,700 Square feet.
March of 1995, Al Sullivan sold his interest in the company to his sons Glenn & Alvin Jr.
March of 1997, the Ajax Branch was relocated to a newly purchased 6,500 square foot building.
December of 2006, the Building in Scarborough was purchased by the company.
Al Sullivan passed away in 2004 at the age of 77. At present the company is still run by brothers Glenn, Alvin Jr. and sister Mary.
